Becky Channell -Alto
I was born and raised in Northport Al. I am married to my soul mate Sammy Channell. We have 3 grown children and God has given us 6 Grand Blessings. I attended different churches both Baptist and Pentecostal as a child before returning to my roots as a Southern Baptist. We are currently serving God at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Coker Al. At the age of 12yrs old I surrendered my life to Christ, but it wasn’t until age 42 until I totally gave Him full reign and was baptized. My love for music started at a young age and I started singing in choirs in school and then in church. I have always loved Southern Gospel music with some of my influences being Janet Paschal, Lauren Talley, Kim Hopper as well as many others.

Favorite Verse - Isaiah 40:31
Favorite Sports team - Alabama

I started singing at a young age while singing with family at various get-togethers. After accepting the Lord in 1987 I desired to sing for Jesus. My sisters and I formed a local group The Rejoicers where we shared the gospel in song to local churches. In 2002 I briefly had a solo ministry at which time he wrote and recorded 2 songs. After running from this calling for several years I finally decided to allow God to have complete control of my life and that’s when God laid Promised Land on my heart and I am now doing whatever God leads him to do. I am married to Stacy Williams and we have 2 children. Colby and Lauren Richardson. Together we serve God in their home church of Harvest Church in Coker Al . We reside in Fosters Al . We love Alabama sports but more than that they love Jesus and serving Him.
Favorite Bible Verse - Romans 8: 38-39 38 -For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I was born December 29, 1954 in Oakland, California. I am a member of LifePointe Church of God in East Cottondale. I have enjoyed Southern Gospel music since the age of six, when I started helping lead singing at our local church. I lived with my grandparents most of my life and was taken to church by my grandmother.
I graduated from Holt High School in 1973, and have received a Diploma in Data Processing, Cosmetology (also State Licensed), and have taken most of the Microsoft Programming.
I started singing with a group by chance at a Revival in Brilliant Alabama, when I was asked to sing one night. They played for me and backed me up, thus starting the group called The Sounds of Praise. It consisted of Ms. Patsy Glasgow Maharrey, her daughter Cynthia Gay Glasgow, piano player Dennis Oliver from West Point Ms., and myself. We sang from 1971 until the later part of 2008. We traveled many miles and our last year of singing we were booked solid.
I am so glad that God has allowed me start back doing his work in the ministry of song. God has been and is still my entire life and it's my desire to work for him until he calls me home, or He returns after his children. God bless you!
